Defender Cross Country

Welcome to the St. Michael School Cross Country Team Website! Check this site out often, as we will be posting important news events and updates. If you are ever hesitant about the status of a practice or meet, this page will be updated as emails are being sent.

St. Michael Cross Country is open to any student or parish member grades K-8. Teams are divided into boys and girls and are coached by volunteers that love the sport and have attended a mandatory CYO meeting as well as the "Protecting out Youth Workshop". These coaches are very supportive and help to make practice fun!

We practice Mondays through Thursdays, 6:00-7:15 pm. Monday practices are for Cadets and Juniors and are located at Emory Adams Park. Tuesdays are for every grade level and are located at Riverbend (Big Oaks). Wednesdays are mainly for Cadets and Juniors, but Pee Wees and Minors are also welcome if they are up to the challenge! This practice is at the Reservoir Parking Lot. Thursday practices are at Emory Adams Park and are for every grade level, starting September 5th they will be held at St. Michael. CYO Team Prayer

Lord God, we thank you for bringing us together today and we ask that you watch over and guide us.

Help the athletes to use their talents to the fullest and remain injury-free.

Help the coaches to teach these young athletes not only about the game, but more importantly about being good Christians.

Help the game officials to do their best to enforce the rules and remain fair at all times.

And help the spectators to be considerate of all players, coaches, officials, and each other.

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to put our faith into action today.
